Troubleshooting

Connection Speed

The first thing you are going to want to check is your connection speed to our network. If your connection speed is hampered it can cause a choppy screen and buffering video signal.

Because we have no control over outside networks, it is an important first step.

This will test the connection from your provider to our datacenter

If you connection is at least 500kbps then you have the speed to stream our signal.

If you have a broadband connection, you may want to check with your service provider if you are unable to connect at 500kbps.

Please note that if you have a home network (more than one computer using your connection) with multiple users, this could cause slower speeds.

Computer resources

If you still experience problems verify that you do not have multiple applications open on your computer.  For example: If your are streaming our video and also streaming or listening to a music or playing a DVD on your system at the same time this will cause performance issues on slower computers. If you have many system icons on your tool bar that are running you can right click and exit out of them to speed things up. You can also right click on your bottom task bar and select “Start Task Manager” once that opens under the “Applications” tab you will see all the programs that are running. If you highlight an application you can select “End Task” in the lower left hand of the window and shut that program down safely.

Windows Media Player

If you see a blank screen you may need to install windows media player.
